Indian Matrimonial Sites have been around for a long time but have gained popularity only of late. Their main function is to allow individuals or their parents to create a free profile for the intended groom or bride, and wait for prospective responses.

Traditionally in the Indian culture this was accomplished, through news paper adds but now with the coming of the internet a lot of sites have cropped up catering to this market. These sites have taken on a dual purpose for Single Indians and their parents. Lets first take a look at how the person looking for match for him or herself views it.
